The Trade Lane Manager is an important member of our team with 75% of their business time dedicated to trade lane-specific and self-performed sales including key account management and overseas travel. The additional 25% of their business time is dedicated to activities connected to business development, coordination with sales, special marketing, and support of the organization.


  • To develop the assigned geographical area, understand and display of CPN network; inform and update about our products, build up a versatile network, monitor profitability of the partner and area.
  • To build and maintain relationships with shippers, consignees, carriers, product management, and overseas offices within the trade lane.
  • To steer and monitor volume development, customer development, sales performance, and profitability of the relevant trade lane and report activities in relevant applications.
  • To generate and provide expertise in trade lane specifics regarding economics, geography,
    competition, key, and target accounts.
  • To support overseas offices/partners to gain business for the lane of responsibility.
  • To work with the Product team to identify, develop, monitor the products.
  • To work with Procurement team for all modes of transport for pricing and costing strategy,
    carriers/airlines relations whenever necessary.
  • Has expertise in-country facts and knowledge, economic geography skills, competitor information, key and target accounts.
  • To monitor risk management and payment term agreements.
  • To input each local sales business and agent follow-up into CRM.
  • To build up market intelligence for the lane of responsibility.
  • To have regular sales calls with the local sales team to develop new accounts.
  • Support, maintain and distribute tariffs, create rate sheet, SOP, contact list, or any other specific information which may be relevant for the lane.
  • Organize and own the responsibility for incoming visits under the lane of responsibility.



  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent related work experience.
  • Candidate with 5+ years of proven experience selling Freight Forwarding/Logistics.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with experience developing, managing, leading, and communicating effectively.
  • Outside B2B Sales experience with a demonstrated history of sales achievements and closing sales at the executive level.
  • Effective planning and organization necessary to schedule appointments appropriately and meet
    reporting deadlines
